DAY 2!

Day two of BigStuf has been just as full.....A great breakfast of pancakes, biscuits, gravy, hash browns, cereal, fruit, etc. (a few carbs for EVERYONE!) started out the day. Then a message about what you THINK about God's will in your life...then some games for the teens and wisdom for the adults (the kids had great hopes for that). Lunch, pictures, volleyball, beach, lasagna, green beans, salad, breadsticks, pudding, fruit (that is for all you parents), then an amazing time of worship and a message of how you maybe THINK that you have faith.....but when times get hard....and they will...and they are....your faith will REALLY reveal itself then.

What an amazing group of people that have come down here this year! We have 6 teens and 3 adults who have never been here. It is great to get to see their reactions to this. I hope all of you will get a chance sometime. Everyone is getting along! Although the rooms are CROWDED, it is a fantastic excuse for bonding.

WE MADE IT!

Well, it is now Tuesday morning. The trip down here yesterday I am happy to say, was calm and uneventful! Thank you Jesus. Once we got to camp, it was a whirlwind of activity registering, unloading suitcases, filling out inspection papers on our rooms, going to adult meetings, trying to get something to eat, handing out keys and room assignments, and then going to....wait for it......THE BIG ROOM!

The camp did a fantastic job again with enthusiam, excitement, life and spirit as the worship band lead us into the place that sometimes we forget we are...and the message was totally a bulls-eye to all of us. Think! That is the theme.....and it seems as if it is focused (at least for last night) on why you think what you think.....what lies are you listening to? And a little towards explaining that the truth is out there to hear as well.

That is just my take on it....me being a grown up (really grown up) watching a big room filled with youth. I will try to get some quotes from them....and pictures will be coming soon!

BigStuf here we come!

Monday morning we will be sending 20 of our best and brightest teens down to Panama City Beach, FL to rock the world at BigStuf camp. They have been looking forward to this since last July when they came back from BigStuf 2009. Along the way they have made and served chili, had bake sales, sold candy bars, sold blueberries and collected change in the "Pigs". And to top it all off, the great family at Grace Life Church have pitched in to make sure the whole group could go whether they could afford it or not. It has been a great journey to just get to this point, and the remainder of the camp experience, we are convinced, will be totally amazing!

Ground Zero would like to wish everyone a healthy and joy filled new year! It promises to be challenging in many ways which will give Jesus bountiful opportunities to be seen! WWJD (watch what Jesus does!)

COME AND GET LOCKED IN!

Ground Zero is planning to have a "lock in" at Grace Life Church on Sunday, Dec. 27th. We will begin at 10:00 p.m. and will unlock the doors at 9:00 a.m. on Monday morning. We have not finished the planning, but so far it looks like pizza, karoke?, board games, a movie and some breakfast. We are still taking ideas for activities, so don't be shy if you have one! For those who need to crash, there will be an air mattress or two, if you need more, bring your own along with a pillow and a blanket.

Oh yea.....invite a friend!
